We are looking for a part-time researcher based in Nepal (preferably Kathmandu) with contextual understanding and experience of the local tourism landscape.
Educational Qualifications: The Researcher must possess minimum Bachelor’s degree or relevant educational background in tourism, research or social sciences. Having a higher degree would be an asset.
Professional Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience, have proven experience in conducting participatory research methodologies, particularly within the tourism sector, demonstrated ability to coordinate with a diverse range of tourism stakeholders, including government bodies, private sector actors, tour operators, airlines, digital influencers and international partners. Must have skills in organizing and facilitating workshops, focus group discussions, and key informant interviews for data collection and validation. Experience working with national tourism promotion and marketing organizations, government institutions and UN agencies is essential.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in written and spoken English is required, with demonstrated
capacity to produce well-structured and accurate research outputs needing little to no editing.
