Web Communications Associate (3 to 5 years of experience) (Full time; Nairobi)

We looked for a skilled and experienced Web Content Manager and Communications Associate to join our team.

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Content Development: Create and manage high-quality website content, ensuring it is engaging, informative and aligned to agreed goals across digital platforms.
  • Curating Content: From a wide range of sources of interest for specific audience groups.
  • Online Webinars/Virtual Events etc.: Support in planning, organizing and executing online webinars and other virtual events to promote specific initiatives and engage with the target audience effectively.
  • Social Media Management: Create and curate engaging posts and content to increase online presence and engagement.
  • Partnerships: Collaborate with identified partners for content development and content syndication.
  • Work closely with global team members and partners for pan-Africa initiatives.

Qualifications: 

  • A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in website content development, online webinars/virtual events creation, website content management.
  • Strong familiarity with the African context and cultural sensitivities.
  • Experience in the fields of skills development, migration, education, environment, sustainability etc. is highly preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French is not mandatory, but will be an asset.
  • Experience in moderating webinars and online events is not mandatory, but will be an asset.
  • Exceptional communication, writing and presentation skills.
  • Creative thinking and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.

Mode of work: Remote (virtual) with in-person meetings where required.

Nature: Full-time.
