We are looking for a team leader/ senior plastics and circular economy expert from ASEAN region for a short-term assignment to identify gaps, opportunities in investment and innovations in the region including stakeholder engagement.
Education
Master’s degree in relevant disciplines such as Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Economic Policy Management etc.
Work Experience
- 20 years of experience in the sustainability and plastic waste recycling industry in Southeast Asia and familiarity with a range of assessment methods related to plastics and plastic pollution.
- 10+ years of experience in the circular economy, solid waste management, plastic-related projects, plastics issues, plastic pollution prevention, and related topics in international development.
- Working in the climate change and sustainability sectors with specializations in plastic waste management and recycling, GHG accounting, and renewable energy transition in Southeast Asia.
- Long experience in environmental policy-related projects in Southeast Asia.
- Working experience with policymakers, institutions, NGOs, business associations, corporates, investors, SMEs, incubators start-ups about tech access and deployment, program and ecosystem development. Familiarity with ASEAN regional cooperation is a distinct advantage.
- Proven experience in conducting similar sectoral research.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Language
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
- Working knowledge of Southeast Asian languages is considered an advantage.
